Guess they're both gonna be a liner lock? Any chance of working with McHenry/Willams for an AXIS lock version on either? The Izula with an AXIS lock would be the best folder ever made in my opinon.
I second this! I personally like frame locks, but if it isn't going that route, an AXIS lock Izula Folder would be sweet!

So I am new here and can't find anything new about the ESEE 3 Folder. Any kind of release date? I had heard on another forum that they were put on hold.

I dont think they are really put on hold, but this things take time. Good thing is, even if it takes longer, if Rowen makes it, its going to be sweet sweet knife.

Heck yeah it will be sweet. I would expect nothing less than amazing quality. I am just holding out on a good heavy folder. I wanted a HEST but I am not as excited as I used to be for it. I still might get one if I can find one and the price is right though.

Jeff you are BAD for my wallet! Izzy folder is a must have. And if/when the Esee hawk starts to be worked on, Please consider looking at something like the Ranger Knives RD hawk but with a longer straighter handle. That one has the best digger spike of all the ones I have but the chopping ability blows.

now while we are all just dreaming, I'd like the Laser Strike done in CPM 154, and sport a Bocote wood handle.

    Mannlicher,

You know, I would've killed for an ESEE in nice stainless for a while there. But after so much time with the Rowen HT 1095, the ease of sharpening and fine edge retention, plus learning how to maintain a high carbon knife, I just don't care for fancy steels. But, that bocote handle sounds nice.

    God bless,
    Adam
