I need to get one of these. I have a German surplus fold up jobbie. Nice, but damn, it weighs 75 lbs.

I have the folding german shovel, too -- not light, but it's a solid puppy -- that lock can't fail and it's got a real pick on the back.

Does anyone happen to know if the sheath that is made for the Marbles Fireman Shovel would work for the CS shovel? That might solve the problem of the CS sheath being garbage.

Hell, I pulled the trigger on the marbles sheath, gonna try it out myself. Will let you guys know if it works. If it does, it's nice and cheap and comes with a sharpening stone in a pouch on the front. The CS shovel head is smaller than the marbles shovel head, so I don't know why it wouldn't fit.

It fits ...... it's a loose fit but he sheath is also dead flat and it buckles a little with the CS (rounded) in it but as a cover it works fine.
