    ESEE Ferro Rod

I really wish ESEE would make a 3/8" ferro rod, with options for a linen or canvas micarta handle, to match our knives

The Fire Tool is freaking huge and cumbersome in a loop on the side of a sheath

    Just sayin...

Have you checked out the custom fire steels that Dale has at "THE KNIFE CONNECTION"
I believe he has them with canvas, linen, and G10 to match his custom handles.

They aren't a perfect match but the Bark River Matte Black Linen firesteels are pretty close to the gray handled knives.

(Sorry for the terrible pic but it's all I have. They actually match a little better in real life)

I appreciate the replies, I was hoping for one that matches and doesn't cost $40. For that price I can get an ESEE Fire Tool and a normal firesteel that doesn't match...

They are alittle pricey, but I bet if you talk to Dale he can match you up that you couldn't tell the difference

esee has always been about function over form so i doubt they'd ever do that. i have yet to see a firesteel in a sheath loop that's actually used (if the owner used it then it'll eventually wobble/fit loosely so that's probably why they don't) so for $40 that'll last a lifetime why not pony up for it? then keep the non-matching user in your pocket.
