I made myself a kydex sheath for my
Light My Fire 2.0 Army 3/8" fire steel. It came out pretty awesome.

Nice! I have the same firesteel. Throws the heaviest sparks out of all the ones I've tried. Cool lil sheath!

Yeah this fire steel is a hefty spark launcher that's for sure. Thanks bro.

Sweet set up. I never have any luck getting the eyelets to set right. That should give several carry options.

Thanks man. I will let you in on a little secret. I spray the eyelet tool with rem oil to help for a smooth roll and set. It also helps prevent the coating on the eyelets from fading when it is being rolled.

Very nice work. Looks perfect. Just curious. What is the weirdest thing you have pressed. Come on now. We all get silly and stupid sometimes.

I will have to try that mine always seem to split and not roll. I thought I could be whacking them to hard to set them?

Well I once pressed my... haha
Probably a Chem Light. At least the most fragile. Busted them on the first try lol. Glow in the dark goo everywhere.

The retention is excellent. Very positive clip and pops right out.
No fire steel play either.
Also being that the retention is mainly from the handle it will always work regardless the shape of the steel rod.

How the retention?

You should really invest in a 1 Ton Arbor Press. Worth every bit of $40.
